Carling Keg Hire
Britain’s familiar extra-cold lager, in 11 gallon and 22 gallon kegs. We supply the G-Type coupler, gas and a worktop flash cooler so you can pour at home, in a marquee or on a festival bar.
Wedding or party with 80 adults or more in England or Wales? We can bring a fully staffed cash bar for £150 instead. Guests pay at the bar and there is no minimum spend.
Carling keg specifications
Carling is still supplied in imperial kegs more often than metric 30L and 50L. An 11 gallon keg is roughly a 50L pour (about 88 pints). A 22 gallon keg is a serious volume tap at about 176 pints. The coupler is G-Type.
| Specification | Details |

| Coupler Type | G-Type |
| Gas required | CO2 or 60/40 mixed gas (CO2/nitrogen) |

Extra-cold Carling needs a dispenser, not a fridge
Carling is sold on being extra cold. A keg stood in a kitchen or tent will not get there on its own. We send a commercial flash cooler that chills the beer in the line. You do not need a cold room.
The coupler is G-Type, the same family as Madri, not the S-Type on Heineken or Peroni. Gas is CO2 or 60/40, not the 70/30 stout mix. That mix is reserved for Guinness.
Do you need a cooler?
For home parties as well as events. The cooler sits on a worktop, uses a standard 13-amp plug, and is ready in about ten minutes. That is why Carling hire works in a garage or garden as well as a venue cellar.
What's included?

How we pour Carling
This is a volume, extra-cold lager. Get the temperature right and the pint looks after itself.
Place the keg
11G is manageable; 22G needs a firm, level spot and two people. We position it on delivery.
Power the cooler
Plug in and wait until the lines are cold. Pouring immediately wastes the first glasses.
Full tap, extra cold
Open the tap fully. Carling should come out close to 2–5°C with a short head.
Keep it running
Leave the cooler on for the whole session. Switching it off between matches or speeches warms the beer.
Carling on draft at home
The same kit we use on event bars works in a kitchen, garage or garden. No cellar install is required.
-
Compact footprint. Cooler and keg sit on a worktop or table.
-
Standard plug. A UK 13-amp socket is enough.
-
Ready in minutes. Dry-block cooling pulls the first extra-cold pints once the lines have chilled.
How it works
A straightforward hire, from first enquiry through to collection.
Tell us the brief
Send the date, venue and guest numbers, plus whether you want Carling on its own or as part of a wider keg hire bar.
We spec the kit
We confirm keg size, the correct coupler and the right gas before anything leaves the warehouse.
Delivery and setup
We deliver, connect the lines and run the first pints so the system is pouring correctly.
Collection
After the event we collect the keg, gas and cooler. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full.
Coverage and logistics
Carling is the volume lager we send to sports parties, festivals and large family events as well as home bars. Delivery is from the Midlands across the areas we cover.
For a second tap, Madri shares the G-Type coupler. Heineken needs an S-Type head. See keg hire for the full brand list.
Hire packages
Prices depend on keg size, location and date. We quote each event rather than listing a flat national rate.
