Hawkstone Cider Keg Hire
Medium-dry cider

Hawkstone Cider Keg Hire

Hawkstone’s 5% medium-dry cider on tap, made from fresh-pressed local apples and fermented with champagne yeast. We supply 50L kegs with an S-Type coupler, CO2 and a flash cooler.

Wedding or party with 80 adults or more in England or Wales? We can bring a fully staffed cash bar for £150 instead. Guests pay at the bar and there is no minimum spend.

Hawkstone Cider keg specifications

This is the original cider, not Hedgerow. It is matured for up to six months and cold-filtered. The producer says it is never from concentrate and never pasteurised. Trade kegs are 50L on S-Type.

Apple cider, not a fruit tap

If you want blackcurrant and blackberry, that is Hawkstone Hedgerow at 4%. This keg is a 5% medium-dry apple cider. Running both means two taps.

CO2 only. Do not put stout gas on cider. Warm cider in a garden is a wasted keg, so the cooler is part of the full setup unless the venue already has chilled lines. This is the cider we spec when the brief is apple, not berry, and when Thatchers or Strongbow is not the named brand.

Do you need a cooler?

Yes for outdoor bars. Hold 4–6°C. A flash cooler on a 13-amp socket is the usual kit.

The Hawkstone keg range

Hawkstone is the Cotswold farm brand. The drinks below are different products, not one lager with a swapped name. We hire them as separate 50L kegs.

The freshly pressed one

How we pour Hawkstone Cider

A clean cider pour. Keep it cold and keep the tap fully open.

Seat the S-Type

A half-on Sankey head leaks and oxidises the cider.

Chill first

Pull a test pint after the cooler has dropped the line temperature.

One steady pour

Full tap, short head. Cider does not get a two-part settle.

Keep it moving

Once tapped, this cider is for the event.

How it works

A straightforward hire, from first enquiry through to collection.

Step 1

Tell us the brief

Send the date, venue and guest numbers, and whether you want Hawkstone Cider on its own or as part of a Hawkstone bar.

Step 2

We spec the kit

We confirm the 50L keg, S-Type coupler and the right gas before anything leaves the warehouse.

Step 3

Delivery and setup

We deliver, connect the lines and pull the first pints so the system is pouring correctly.

Step 4

Collection

After the event we collect the keg, gas and cooler. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full.
