Hawkstone Session Lager Keg Hire
The lighter Hawkstone lager for long afternoons. We supply 50L Session Lager kegs (about 88 pints) with an S-Type coupler, CO2 and flash cooling.
Wedding or party with 80 adults or more in England or Wales? We can bring a fully staffed cash bar for £150 instead. Guests pay at the bar and there is no minimum spend.
Hawkstone Session Lager keg specifications
Session Lager is 4% and sold as “the one of many”: pale, lightly hopped, with a sweet biscuity malt finish. It is not Premium Lager (4.8%) and it is not the hop-forward 3.8 Pils.
| Specification | Details |

| Keg size | 50L |
| Pint count | About 88 pints |
| Coupler Type | S-Type |
| Gas required | CO2 or 60/40 mixed gas |

Built for a long session
People hire Session when the bar will run all afternoon and they do not want a 4.8% premium lager as the only tap. It still needs a cold pour. Warm Session just tastes thin.
Same S-Type coupler as the rest of the Hawkstone range, so a dual-tap with cider or Premium Lager is a hardware match. Gas is still CO2, not the 70/30 used on Black. It is the sensible all-day tap when children, speeches and a late disco are all on the same timeline.
Do you need a cooler?
Yes for marquees and gardens. Session at 3–5°C is what makes it drinkable for hours. The cooler uses a standard 13-amp socket.
The Hawkstone keg range

- Session Lager (this page)
- Hawkstone Pilsner
- Hawkstone IPA
- Hawkstone Black
- Hawkstone Cider
- Hawkstone Hedgerow

How we pour Session Lager
Treat it as a volume session lager. Keep it cold and do not dress it up as a pilsner pour.
Confirm 4%
Check the keg badge. Premium Lager and Pils look similar on a busy bar.
Chill the line
Pull a test pint after the cooler has been on. Discard the first warm glass.
Clean lager pour
Full tap, 45 degrees, short head. No settle time.
Plan the afternoon
A 50L goes quickly at a summer party. Say if you may need a second keg.
How it works
A straightforward hire, from first enquiry through to collection.
Tell us the brief
Send the date, venue and guest numbers, and whether you want Hawkstone Session Lager on its own or as part of a Hawkstone bar.
We spec the kit
We confirm the 50L keg, S-Type coupler and the right gas before anything leaves the warehouse.
Delivery and setup
We deliver, connect the lines and pull the first pints so the system is pouring correctly.
Collection
After the event we collect the keg, gas and cooler. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full.
