Hawkstone IPA Keg Hire

Hawkstone’s hoppy one: a 4.8% IPA with tropical and citrus hops over a malt backbone. We supply 50L kegs with an S-Type coupler, CO2 and flash cooling.

Wedding or party with 80 adults or more in England or Wales? We can bring a fully staffed cash bar for £150 instead. Guests pay at the bar and there is no minimum spend.

Hawkstone IPA keg specifications

This is the IPA, not a hoppy lager. Premium Lager and Pils are cleaner. IPA carries more bitterness and fruit. Trade kegs are 50L on S-Type.

Tropical hops, not a pilsner

Hawkstone describe bursts of tropical and citrus hops, malt richness, then a running bitterness. That is a different pour from 3.8 Pils, which is lighter and grapefruit-dry.

Serve IPA a touch warmer than an extra-cold lager so the hops show. Still use a cooler. A warm IPA in a tent tastes sticky. Keep a Session or cider tap beside it if only part of the guest list wants a hoppy pint.

Do you need a cooler?

Yes. Hold it around 5–7°C rather than icing it like Carling. The flash cooler can be set for that range. A 13-amp socket is enough.

The Hawkstone keg range

Hawkstone is the Cotswold farm brand. The drinks below are different products, not one lager with a swapped name. We hire them as separate 50L kegs.

The hoppy one

How we pour Hawkstone IPA

A controlled IPA pour. Too much foam strips aroma; too warm and the bitterness spikes.

Fresh, clean glass

Hop oils cling to grease. Start with a proper clean pint glass.

Steady full tap

Open fully and pour in one motion.

Modest head

A short collar. Do not fill it like a nitro stout.

Drink it fresh

Once tapped, IPA is for the event, not for the next weekend.

How it works

A straightforward hire, from first enquiry through to collection.

Step 1

Tell us the brief

Send the date, venue and guest numbers, and whether you want Hawkstone IPA on its own or as part of a Hawkstone bar.

Step 2

We spec the kit

We confirm the 50L keg, S-Type coupler and the right gas before anything leaves the warehouse.

Step 3

Delivery and setup

We deliver, connect the lines and pull the first pints so the system is pouring correctly.

Step 4

Collection

After the event we collect the keg, gas and cooler. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full.

Coverage and logistics

IPA is the Hawkstone we send when part of the room wants craft hops and the rest of the bar can run Session or cider. Delivery is from the Midlands. See areas we cover.

A two-tap bar with Session Lager covers most mixed guest lists. Browse keg hire for other brands.

Hire packages

Prices depend on location and date. We quote each event rather than listing a flat national rate.

Hawkstone IPA keg hire FAQs

IPA runs on CO2. We supply it with the full setup.

An S-Type coupler, the same as the other Hawkstone draught kegs.

IPA is 4.8% and tropical/citrus with more bitterness. Pilsner is 3.8% and lighter. Hire the one people actually asked for.

About 88 pints from 50L.

Two to three weeks. IPA plus a lager tap needs two coolers or a dual-tap unit, so tell us early.

Yes. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full. Once a keg has been tapped, it cannot be refunded.
