San Miguel Keg Hire
Spanish lager

San Miguel Keg Hire

Spanish lager on tap for garden parties, barbecues and summer receptions. We supply 30L and 50L San Miguel kegs with an S-Type coupler, CO2 and flash cooling.

Wedding or party with 80 adults or more in England or Wales? We can bring a fully staffed cash bar for £150 instead. Guests pay at the bar and there is no minimum spend.

San Miguel keg specifications

San Miguel is a 5.0% pale lager. It sits in the same coupler family as Heineken and Peroni, and it is the lager people pick when they want a Mediterranean pint rather than a British extra-cold or an Italian dry lager.

Specification Details
Keg size 30L or 50L
Pint count About 52 pints (30L) or 88 pints (50L)
Coupler Type S-Type
Gas required CO2
ABV 5.0%
Best served Cold (3–5°C)

San Miguel, Madri or Cruzcampo

Guests often treat these as interchangeable Spanish-style lagers. They are not the same tap. San Miguel is 5.0% on an S-Type coupler. Madri is 4.6% on a G-Type. Cruzcampo is the other Spanish option if you want that specifically.

Outdoors, temperature is the whole job. San Miguel in a garden with no cooler will foam as soon as the sun hits the lines. We set CO2 for a lager and keep the beer at 3–5°C. If the party is mostly in the garden, tell us about shade, sockets and how far the keg has to be carried from the van. That is usually more important than which Spanish lager badge is on the tap.

Do you need a cooler?

For garden and marquee work, treat a cooler as required. Shade helps the keg; it does not replace line cooling. Indoor venues with a cellar can ask about dry hire.

Summer lager serve

How we pour San Miguel

A cold, clean lager pour. Keep the kit out of direct sun and do not let the cooler cycle off during the afternoon.

Site the keg in shade

A keg in full sun warms from the outside even if the cooler is working.

Chill before service

Give the flash cooler time to pull the first pints into condition.

Standard lager pour

Full tap, 45 degrees, short head. No settle.

Watch the afternoon rush

Garden parties spike after food. Check gas before that, not during it.

How it works

A straightforward hire, from first enquiry through to collection.

Step 1

Tell us the brief

Send the date, venue and guest numbers, plus whether you want San Miguel on its own or as part of a wider keg hire bar.

Step 2

We spec the kit

We confirm keg size, the correct coupler and the right gas before anything leaves the warehouse.

Step 3

Delivery and setup

We deliver, connect the lines and run the first pints so the system is pouring correctly.

Step 4

Collection

After the event we collect the keg, gas and cooler. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full.

Coverage and logistics

San Miguel hire is common for summer parties across Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the wider coverage map.

Add Thatchers if you need a cider tap, or see all brands on keg hire.

Hire packages

Prices depend on keg size, location and date. We quote each event rather than listing a flat national rate.

San Miguel keg hire FAQs

San Miguel uses CO2. We supply the bottle with a full setup.

San Miguel uses an S-Type coupler. Madri and Carling use G-Type. Guinness uses U-Type.

No. San Miguel is 5.0% on S-Type. Madri is 4.6% on G-Type. Pick the one your guests actually drink, then we match the coupler.

Yes, if there is a 13-amp socket and we can keep the keg out of the sun. That is a better brief than trying to ice a keg in a paddling pool.

Summer weekends should be booked two to three weeks ahead, earlier for bank holidays.

Yes. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full. Once a keg has been tapped, it cannot be refunded.
