Stella Artois Keg Hire

Stella Artois Keg Hire

Belgian lager on tap for weddings, receptions and corporate bars. We supply 30L and 50L Stella Artois kegs with an S-Type coupler, CO2 and flash cooling so the pint finishes with a clean collar.

Wedding or party with 80 adults or more in England or Wales? We can bring a fully staffed cash bar for £150 instead. Guests pay at the bar and there is no minimum spend.

Stella Artois keg specifications

Stella Artois is a 5.0% pale lager. People hire it when they want a familiar premium pint that is not Peroni and not a standard British lager. The kit is straightforward, but the pour still needs cold lines and the right coupler.

Specification Details
Keg size 30L or 50L
Pint count About 52 pints (30L) or 88 pints (50L)
Coupler Type S-Type
Gas required CO2
ABV 5.0%
Best served Cold (3–5°C)

The Stella collar, not a stout settle

Stella is poured as a lager: one pass, full tap, short white head. It is not nitrogenated. If someone has previously hired Guinness from us, do not reuse that 70/30 bottle on Stella. CO2 only.

Where Stella differs from Peroni or Madri is the glass and the finish. A chalice or a clean pint glass with a defined collar is what guests recognise. We set pressure for a lager body, not a creamy stout head.

Do you need a cooler?

Use a cooler unless the venue cellar is already at lager temperature. Stella served at 8°C tastes sweet and flat. A flash cooler brings the beer to 3–5°C in the line, which is what you want for a marquee or function room with no cellar.

How we pour Stella Artois

The aim is a bright pint with a tight collar. That comes from temperature and a full tap throw, not from a long settle.

Clean glass

Rinse or use a dry clean glass. Lipstick, grease or leftover detergent wrecks the head.

Full tap

Open the tap all the way. A half-open tap shears the beer and builds foam.

Angle then lift

Fill at 45 degrees, then bring the glass upright so the collar forms on the last third.

Leave the collar

Stop when the foam sits just above the beer. Do not scrape it off.

How it works

A straightforward hire, from first enquiry through to collection.

Step 1

Tell us the brief

Send the date, venue and guest numbers, plus whether you want Stella Artois on its own or as part of a wider keg hire bar.

Step 2

We spec the kit

We confirm keg size, the correct coupler and the right gas before anything leaves the warehouse.

Step 3

Delivery and setup

We deliver, connect the lines and run the first pints so the system is pouring correctly.

Step 4

Collection

After the event we collect the keg, gas and cooler. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full.

Coverage and logistics

Stella kegs go out with the rest of our keg hire work from the Midlands. We regularly set up in Birmingham, Warwickshire and the wider areas listed on the site.

Tell us about stairs, grass and how close a van can get. A 50L keg plus cooler is a two-person carry. Glass hire is available if you want pint glasses with the tap.

Hire packages

Prices depend on keg size, location and date. We quote each event rather than listing a flat national rate.

Stella Artois keg hire FAQs

Stella Artois uses CO2. We supply it with the full setup. Mixed nitrogen gas is for stouts, not this lager.

Stella uses an S-Type coupler. Carling uses G-Type. Guinness uses U-Type. If you are dry-hiring, check the existing tap.

Choose Stella when guests expect a Belgian lager and a defined collar. Choose Peroni for a drier Italian lager, or Madri when you want the current UK favourite at 4.6%.

We can add glass hire if the venue is not providing glasses. Branded chalices depend on stock for the date, so ask when you enquire.

Two to three weeks is the usual lead time. Christmas parties and summer Saturdays should be booked earlier.

Yes. Any unused keg that is still sealed at collection is refunded in full. Once a keg has been tapped, it cannot be refunded.
